Dance Exercise - a little dance, a little stretch & a whole lot of exercise

Desk bound and brain fried city workers.
Exercise not only the body but the other side of your brain. Nourish the mind, body and booty in your lunch break, designed with your core and posture in mind stretching out from the seated desk pose and into limber, flexible and fun.

Dance Generations dance fitness class gets you moving and grooving to routines based on a foundation of cha cha, jive, samba, meringue and hip hop with elements of yoga and ballet. Move at your own pace but move you will, to infectious music that will take you from your lunch break to happy hour.

Don't take it all too, too seriously -

Classes are held on Tuesdays at 12.15pm

Wondering if this is the class for you?
Its is a class where you are encouraged to take it at your pace. Take it slow and ease into it or push yourself if you are ready.
Any shape or size is eligible to attend, any fitness level too. It may take a week or too to get into the groove
but get moving and you are heading in the right direction. 
This is perhaps not the class for the die hard, we laugh a little but we move from start to finish ​and each session get a little fitter. 

Our session goes a little bit like this:
Warm up and stretch, wake up the system
Start building the pace and working the muscles
Push it up a notch
Keep it up a little longer with a few Pilates inspired moves
Warm it all down
​Ready for an afternoons work

or an aerobic workout (depending on the dance).

Dancing exercises a large number of muscle groups not just one group
​and because it constantly varies muscles continue to be worked over time.

Dancing has a mixture of tempos that means it is suitable for a wide range of ages and levels of health.
